Dr. Clare Shannon

Dr. Clare Shannon is a Birmingham, AL native. She attended John Carroll Catholic High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Huntingdon College. At Huntingdon, she was a Lady Hawks volleyball player and was inducted into the College’s Sport Hall Of Fame. She then attended Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 2015. Dr. Shannon completed a preceptorship at Charleston Equine Hospital in Charleston, SC. Her first job was in Nashville, TN working on both equine and small animal patients. Dr. Shannon met her now husband and moved to Huntsville where she met Dr. Johns and his wife Audra and joined Linderman Animal Hospital in May of 2017. She is compassionate about providing the best medicine to her patients and has a specific interest in soft tissue surgery.

Dr. Shannon and her husband Trace enjoy traveling the world and have visited many different countries and cultures. They share their house in Huntsville with their 2 dogs, cat, and tortoise. Dr. Shannon enjoys spending her free time trail riding her horse Trooper, hiking with her dogs at Monte Sano State Park and walking through beautiful downtown Huntsville.
